Turkey’s Grain Board (TMO) has announced procurement and sales prices for the 2026 grain harvest. The procurement price for both durum wheat and milling wheat has been set at 16,500 Turkish lira per ton. Including government support payments, farmers are expected to receive a total of 19,514 Turkish lira per ton of wheat.

Heavy rainfall across Turkey delayed the start of the harvest campaign compared to last year. As a result, TMO began accepting wheat and barley deliveries on May 21, 2026.

2026 procurement prices for Grade 2 grain:

  • Durum wheat – 16,500 TL/ton
  • Milling wheat – 16,500 TL/ton
  • Barley – 12,750 TL/ton

Turkey’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry will provide farmers with a total of 980 TL per decare through base support payments, planned production incentives, and certified seed subsidies. Based on the national average yield, these support measures amount to approximately 3,014 TL per ton.

Including subsidies, producers will receive a total of 19,514 TL per ton of wheat and 15,764 TL per ton of barley. Payments for grain purchased under the TMO program will be transferred to farmers’ bank accounts within 45 days after delivery, compared to 30 days last year.

In 2025, farmers received 16,020 TL per ton of wheat and 13,520 TL per ton of barley, including subsidies.

  • Milling wheat – 18,500 TL/ton
  • Barley – 14,000 TL/ton

The announced pricing policy is intended to support domestic grain producers while ensuring a stable supply of raw materials for Turkey’s milling and feed industries during the 2026/27 marketing season.
