Tunisia’s wheat stocks will cover needs until January 2027
Tunisia’s wheat stocks are sufficient to cover the country’s domestic needs until January 2027, according to Salwa Ben Hadid Zouari, head of the state Cereals Office.
The country’s grain harvest this year reached around 1.1 mln tons, with durum wheat accounting for about 70% of the total.
The available stocks should allow Tunisia to cover domestic consumption in the coming months without additional pressure on import purchases.
