Tunisia purchases 100 thsd tons of wheat in tender
Tunisia’s state grains agency purchased about 100,000 tonnes of soft wheat in an international tender held on March 31. The purchases were made at prices ranging from around $274.7 to $275.5 per tonne on a C&F basis, indicating an increase compared to previous tenders.

According to traders, the lowest price was $274.73 per tonne, with shipments scheduled from early May to early June depending on origin. The wheat was purchased with optional origin, allowing suppliers flexibility in sourcing.
Market participants note that wheat prices have been rising recently amid tensions in global commodity markets, particularly due to the conflict in the Middle East. For comparison, in its previous tender in early March, Tunisia purchased wheat at lower prices starting from $271.69 per tonne.
