State Statistics Service of Ukraine releases final 2025 harvest figures
The State Statistics Service of Ukraine published the final data on the MY 2025/26 harvest, according to which the total gross harvest of grain and leguminous crops increased by 8.2% compared to the previous season to 61.04 million tons, the harvested area increased by 4.4% to 11.62 million hectares, and the yield increased by 3.6% to 52.5 centners/hectare. At the same time, the total production of leguminous crops increased by 38.1% to 824 thousand tons.
Thus, compared to last year, production increased:
- wheat – by 3.6% to 23.34 million tons,
- corn – by 14.6% to 30.9 million tons.
At the same time, in 2025, the yield of the following crops decreased:
- barley – by 2.4% to 5.2 million tons,
- buckwheat – by 37.7% to 70.8 thousand tons,
- millet – 2.6 times to 60 thousand tons,
- oats – by 16.3% to 382.5 thousand tons,
- rye – by 4.6% to 208.3 thousand tons.
The gross harvest of oilseeds in 2025 also decreased:
- sunflower – by 7% to 10.24 million tons,
- rapeseed – by 10.9% to 3.21 million tons,
- soybeans – by 25.3% to 4.98 million tons.
Sugar beet harvest decreased by 8.7% to 11.69 million tons.
