The share of UAE purchases in the total Ukrainian flour exports increased to 28%
According to official data, 41.6 KMT of Ukrainian flour was exported in November 2019, or 19% more than in the previous month and 50% more than in November 2018/19, reports UkrAgroConsult.
156.72 KMT was exported in the first five months of this season. This was 67% more than in MY 2018/19, but still down 24% from the 2017/18 record.
This season the United Arab Emirates consolidated its position as the top importer of Ukrainian flour with an export share of 28%.
Purchases by the UAE in July-November equaled 91% of the total volume the country imported in the whole of MY 2018/19.
MY 2019/20 witnessed some shift in export markets. The demand from last season declined from China, Palestine, Moldova, Singapore and Israel.
At the same time, active demand was observed from Indonesia, Hong Kong, Somalia and Mozambique.
