The Grain From Ukraine forum raised $100 million
More than $100 million was raised in one day at the international forum Grain from Ukraine. This was announced by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy on November 25 at a joint press conference with the leaders of Latvia Edgars Rinkēvičs, Switzerland Alain Berset and Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Šimonite.
The funds will be used to purchase Ukrainian grain for the countries that need it most.
“Last year, the initiative raised $180 million, and today we already have more than $100 million. This is the support of other countries and the support of Ukrainian exports. This is a concrete result, and I think there will be much more. I hope that this figure will be doubled by the end of the year,” the President said.
On November 25, Kyiv hosted the International Grain from Ukraine Summit. Its participants discussed countering Russian aggression, sanctions against Russia, protecting the “grain corridor”, strengthening Ukrainian air defense for these purposes, and countering the sale of stolen Ukrainian grain that Russia exports from the temporarily occupied territories of our country.
