The checkpoint on the border of Ukraine with Slovakia is unblocked
Truck traffic through the Vysne Nemecke checkpoint, adjacent to the Ukrainian checkpoint Uzhhorod, has been unblocked.
This is stated in a post on Facebook by the State Border Guard Service.
“On December 4, at 22:00, the actions of the protesters who blocked the movement of trucks through the Vysne Nemecke checkpoint ended,” the agency said.
Vehicles are being cleared in accordance with the established procedure.
It is also noted that as a result of the complicated traffic on the Polish border, the number of trucks choosing this direction to cross the border with Ukraine has increased on the border with Slovakia. As of the morning of December 5, there were 625 trucks waiting in line in Slovakia to cross into Ukraine.
At the same time, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Serhiy Derkach noted on Facebook that the blockade of this crossing has been suspended.
“We continue to work with our Slovak colleagues to prevent further protests,” he said.
