Sunflower seed stocks in Ukraine stood at nearly 1 million tonnes at the start of August

As of August 1, 2026, sunflower seed stocks in Ukraine were estimated at 947 thsd tons. Soybean stocks stood at 560 thsd tons, while rapeseed stocks totaled 205 thsd tons, according to estimates by the Ukroliyaprom association.

In September-June MY 2025/26 , Ukrainian companies processed 9.66 mln tons of sunflower seed. Meanwhile, seed exports remained minimal at just 39 thsd tons, reflecting the industry’s strong focus on domestic processing.

Ukraine’s soybean resources during the season were estimated at 5.379 mln tons. Of this volume, 2.65 mln tons were processed domestically, while 2.169 mln tons were exported. Soybean stocks at the beginning of August stood at 560 thsd tons.

Rapeseed resources in July-June MY 2025/26 totaled 3.446 mln tons. Ukrainian companies processed 1.34 mln tons, while seed exports reached 1.901 mln tons. Rapeseed stocks at the beginning of August were estimated at 205 thsd tons.

In July, Ukraine processed around 64 thsd tons of rapeseed, producing 27 thsd tons of rapeseed oil. Another nearly 20 thsd tons of rapeseed were exported during the month.
