Sugar beet area in Ukraine will decrease to 180 thsd ha – USDA
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) predicts that in the 2026/27 MY in Ukraine, 183 thousand hectares will be sown with sugar beets, which is 9% less than the previous season.
This is reported in the USDA report.
Experts predict that the sugar beet harvest will be 9.6 million tons (-17%).
Sugar production in Ukraine is forecast at 1.4 million tons, which is 21% less than in the 2025/26 MY.
