Strong demand from China and Europe supports Kazakhstan linseed market
Demand for Kazakh oilseed linseed remains strong from both China and European processors, while domestic prices continue to show relative stability.
On the Chinese market, prices are around $475–480/t DAP Alashankou and $415–440/t FCA Kazakhstan. Indicative elevator purchase prices are about KZT 185 thsd/t including VAT.
For European buyers, the market level is around $400/t FCA Kazakhstan, while elevator purchase prices are estimated at about KZT 175 thsd/t including VAT. This means the Chinese market currently offers higher price levels.
Despite active demand, the market has seen no significant price fluctuations. This indicates a relatively balanced situation between available linseed supplies and demand from buyers in China and Europe.
In the short term, logistics could become one of the main risks, particularly the capacity of routes toward Alashankou. If demand remains strong, transport constraints could limit further growth in exports to China.
