According to StoneX, a consulting firm, soybean production in Brazil in the 2025/26 season is forecast to reach 181.6 million tons, approximately 1% higher than the April forecast.

The forecast increase was driven by higher soybean yield estimates nationwide and a revised soybean acreage in Rio Grande do Sul, the company said. “As a result, even taking into account weather-related yield losses, Rio Grande do Sul is on track to reach a production level of approximately 21 million tons.”

Brazil’s gross corn harvest in the 2025/26 season is estimated at 137 million tons, up from the previous forecast of 135.7 million tons.

The upward revision of the forecast was due to a 4% increase in the estimate for the first corn harvest to 28.3 million tons. The estimate for the second corn harvest, which makes up the bulk of Brazil’s corn production, remained virtually unchanged at 106.1 million tons.
