Spain and Egypt were the largest buyers of Ukrainian wheat in August

Ukraine exported around 612.7 thsd tons of wheat in August 2026. Spain was the largest buyer with 118.2 thsd tons, followed by Egypt with 116.1 thsd tons and Algeria with 78.1 thsd tons. Together, the three countries accounted for around 51% of Ukraine’s wheat exports during the month.

Wheat export pace accelerated noticeably at the beginning of September. Ukraine shipped around 116.8 thsd tons on September 1–3, or nearly 39 thsd tons per day, compared with an average of around 20 thsd tons per day in August.

The main destinations for Ukrainian wheat in early September included Tunisia, Egypt, Indonesia and Israel. Thus, export flows covered markets in North Africa, the Middle East and Asia.

Ukrainian wheat prices remained unchanged over the past week. Milling wheat was quoted at $185/t CPT Odesa, while feed wheat stood at $175/t.

Meanwhile, Ukraine exported around 300 thsd tons of corn in August and another 69.2 thsd tons in the first three days of September. The main destinations were Italy, Turkey, Germany and the Netherlands, while corn prices remained at $185/t CPT Odesa.
