Soybean harvest begins in Argentina
Argentina has begun its soybean harvest, with 2.4% of the planted area already collected as of early April. Crop conditions remain favorable, with 86.3% of fields rated from normal to excellent.
According to the Buenos Aires Grain Exchange, soil moisture levels continue to support crop performance, with 88.1% of the area showing adequate or optimal conditions. This supports the production forecast of 48.5 million tonnes.
Meanwhile, corn harvesting is progressing at a faster pace, reaching 21.6% of the planted area. Average yields stand at 85.5 bags per hectare, keeping the overall production estimate at 57 million tonnes.
