South Korea purchased 50 thsd tons of milling wheat
On February 13, a group of South Korean millers purchased 50,000 tons of milling wheat from the United States at an auction, Reuters reported.
The wheat was purchased from United Grain Corporation for delivery from June 1 to June 30 on a FOB basis:
- 27,000 tons of soft white wheat (SWW) with a protein content of 9.5-11% at $234.71 per ton;
- 855 tons of soft white wheat (SWW) with a protein content of up to 9% at $246.83 per ton;
- 8,375 tons of hard red wheat (HRW) with a protein content of 11.5% at $251.78 per ton;
- 13,770 tons of dark northern spring wheat (DNS) with a protein content of 14% at $268.96 per ton.
South Korean millers also purchased 40 thousand tons of Canadian wheat.
