South Korea purchased 100 thsd tons of milling wheat
On June 30, two groups of South Korean millers purchased 100,000 tons of milling wheat from the United States at a tender, according to Zerno On-Line, citing Reuters.
Four types of wheat were purchased:
- Hard Red Wheat (HRW), with a protein content of 11.5%;
- Soft White Wheat (SWW), with a protein content of up to 9%, at $249.28 per tonne FOB;
- Dark Northern Spring Wheat (DNS), with a protein content of 14%, at $292.57 per tonne FOB.
According to the tender terms, 50,000 tons of wheat will be shipped between October 15 and November 15, and the same amount between November 10 and December 10.
