South Korea buys feed corn
South Korean Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased 68,000 tonnes of feed corn in a private deal concluded on June 10, Reuters reported.
The purchase price was $233.99 C&F plus a $1.25 per tonne surcharge for unloading at a second port.
According to traders, the corn was purchased from Freepoint.
The shipment will take place from ports in South America or South Africa. Shipments from South American ports are scheduled for July 20 to August 20. If the corn is of South African origin, then only 55,000 tonnes will be needed instead of 68,000 tonnes.
