The bulk carrier Panormitis with stolen Ukrainian grain, which was refused unloading at the Israeli port of Haifa, arrived at the Turkish port of Iskenderun. This was reported by journalist Kateryna Yaresko from the SeaKrime project of the Myrotvorets Center.

According to her, on May 13 the vessel Panormitis (IMO: 9445021) arrived at the Turkish port of Iskenderun.

“The vessel was not accepted in Israel due to Ukraine’s appeal regarding the origin of grain from occupied territories. Now we will see how they react in Turkey,” said Kateryna Yaresko.

She also recalled that when in 2023 a vessel with grain from occupied territory was not accepted in Israel, it unloaded in Iskenderun.

As known, the bulk carrier Panormitis was heading to Haifa with a cargo of 6201.56 tons of wheat and 19043.73 tons of barley from temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Later it became known that an Israeli importing company refused to unload stolen Ukrainian grain in Haifa due to the risk of international sanctions. Ukraine also sent Israel a package of documents for the arrest of the Russian vessel.

On May 7, the Russian vessel left the shores of Israel.
