The share of Ukraine in the total imports of corn by the EU countries increased to 52.6% compared to 46.4% in October and 51.2% a year ago.
This was reported by Spike Brokers analysts on Telegram.
At the same time, the share of the US and Brazil decreased to 15.3% (from 18.6% in October) and 18.9% (from 20% in October), respectively.
“It is also worth noting that despite the decrease in the US share over the month, its annual share increased more than 10 times compared to the previous season, which amounted to 1.2%,” the experts said.
In the period from July 1 to December 1, the EU imported 8.5 mln tonnes of corn, up 10% compared to the same period last year.
