Saudi Arabia tenders for 535 thsd tons of wheat
Saudi Arabia’s General Food Security Authority (GFSA) has issued an international tender to purchase around 535 thsd tons of milling wheat. The deadline for price offers is October 2, with deliveries scheduled for November-December.
The wheat is sought in nine consignments for Red Sea ports: three each for Jeddah and Yanbu, two for Neom and one for Jizan. Up to 180 thsd tons is sought for both Jeddah and Yanbu, while up to 120 thsd tons is planned for Neom.
The new tender follows Saudi Arabia’s previous tender on September 7, when no purchase was made due to high prices. The results are expected on October 5.
