Saudi Arabia purchased more than 300 thsd tonnes of wheat at a tender

According to the market operators, the state grain importer of Saudi Arabia, the General Food Security Authority (GFSA), purchased 307 thsd tonnes of milling wheat at the international tender.
The grain was purchased at an average price of $265.78 per tonne on C&F terms for delivery in December 2024 – January 2025. Wheat supplies are expected from the EU, North and South America, Australia and the Black Sea region.
The large volumes of wheat purchases are driven by the country’s strategy to maintain strategic grain reserves at the required level.
