Saudi Arabia purchased 804 thsd tons of wheat

The General Food Security Authority of Saudi Arabia (GFSA) purchased 804 thousand tons of milling wheat with a protein content of 12.5% on a C&F basis. This is reported by Reuters.
The volume of purchase is much more than planned – 595 thousand tons.
The proposed countries of origin of wheat are: European Union, Black Sea region, North America, South America and Australia, with sellers having the option to choose the country of origin of delivery, GFSA chief Ahmad Al-Fares said in a statement. Traders believe some wheat (one or two shipments) will come from Russia. Some shipments may come from Romania, Bulgaria, and South American countries, traders believe.
Delivery will take place from February through April 2025 to the following ports:

– 58,000 purchased from Louis Dreyfus at $266.92 C&F (Feb 15 – 28)
– 60,000 purchased from Cargill at $268.60 C&F (Feb. 15 – 28)
– 60,000 purchased from Viterra at $268.86 C&F (Feb. 15 – 28)
– 58,000 purchased from Louis Dreyfus at $268.32 C&F (March 1 – 15)
– 65,000 purchased from OLAM at $268.70 C&F (March 1 – 15)
Port of Dammam:
– 65,000 purchased from Cargill at $262.52 C&F (Feb. 15 – 28)
– 65,000 purchased from Louis Dreyfus at $268.14 C&F (Feb 15 – 28)
– 65,000 purchased from Cargill at $267.30 C&F (March 15 – 31)
To Jizan Port:
– 55,000 purchased from Aston at $280.00 C&F (April 15 – 30)
