Saudi Arabia inspecting Ukrainian chicken producers
A delegation from Saudi Arabia has begun its work in Ukraine to familiarize itself with the system of state control over the production of poultry meat and poultry health, the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has reported.
"A delegation of representatives of the competent authority of Saudi Arabia will work in Ukraine between February 17 and February 21, 2020, to examine the system of state control over the production of poultry meat and poultry health," the report reads.
It is expected that colleagues from Saudi Arabia will visit the Kyiv and Cherkasy regions as part of their work in Ukraine.
The delegation plans to familiarize itself with the work of the territorial bodies of the State Service on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, poultry farms and meat processing enterprises in the said regions.
According to USDA, Ukraine exported 400,000 tonnes of chicken meat in 2019.
