Russian wheat exports were record high during six months

4.35 MMT was exported in February (up 41% from January and almost three times as much as in February 2019/20). This is an all-time record for this month, UkrAgroConsult reports.
Monthly wheat exports from Russia in September-February were record high.
Almost 33.25 MMT had been exported since the season beginning (+33% y-o-y) that is a record high for this period of time.
In February, the largest volume went to Egypt – 1.22 MMT (28%).
Most buyers stepped up imports of Russian wheat from the same time last year: Egypt (+46%), Turkey (+11%), Azerbaijan (+29%), the EU (+74%), Sudan (+23%), Nigeria (+20%), Yemen (+84%).
Among major importers, only Bangladesh cut purchases compared to last season (down 22%).
