Russian terrorists deliberately targeted the infrastructure of the grain deal – Zelenskyy
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Russian terrorists had deliberately targeted the grain deal infrastructure during the night attack.
“At the morning conference call, I heard information about Russian night strikes in Odesa, Zhytomyr, and other regions. Russian terrorists quite deliberately targeted the infrastructure of the grain deal, and every Russian missile is a blow not only to Ukraine but to everyone in the world who wants a normal and safe life,” the presidential press service said in a statement.
It is noted that Deputy Prime Minister Kubrakov and Minister Klymenko informed about the consequences of the strikes. There were also reports from Chief of the Army Valeriy Zaluzhny and Air Force Commander Oleshchuk.
The President instructed the military to strengthen the protection of people and port infrastructure, and the Foreign Ministry to intensify contacts with partners to increase pressure on the terrorist state and continue normal exports of Ukrainian grain.
Earlier, the head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, said that the Russian terror of Odesa proves once again that they need hunger and problems in the countries of the Global South. The head of the Office of the President of Ukraine noted that Russians want to create a refugee crisis for the West.
At night, Russia attacked port and critical infrastructure in Odesa region. In particular, two port terminals were damaged: a grain terminal and an oil terminal. There are wounded.
