Russian attack damages Ukraine-Romania border crossing
On the night of September 1, a Russian air attack on Odesa region damaged infrastructure at the international Orlivka–Isaccea border crossing on the Ukrainian-Romanian border. Operations at the crossing have been temporarily suspended due to the damage.
According to the Izmail District Military Administration, border infrastructure in Izmail district was hit. Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service reported strikes on the building and the territory of the crossing. The attack caused fires, which were contained by emergency services.
The Orlivka crossing is currently not processing passengers or vehicles. Traffic is being redirected to other border crossings.
