Russia working out business models to increase Russian fat-and-oil product deliveries to India

The “Concept of developing Russian fat-and-oil product exports to India” is being designed in Russia, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The concept is aimed at creating a scientifically substantiated and practice-oriented model of boosting the presence and enhancing the competitiveness of Russian fat-and-oil products in the Indian market.
The concept addresses the possibility of making the country a key crude sunflower oil supplier to India and developing the segment of packed oil under private brands of Indian companies and retail networks. In the mid-term outlook, it is projected to create a consumer brand in the Indian market of edible oils and enter the b2c segment.
The strategic target is to increase sunflower oil supplies to India by more than 1 MMT a year by 2024.
