Russia. Novotrans completed the first stage of construction of an universal terminal
Novotrans Group (Russia) has created artificial grounds for a universal terminal in the port of Ust-Luga. The universal terminal Lugaport will transship general, bulk, grain and food cargoes.
The terminal will be capable of handling vessels of the Panamax, New-Panamax, Baby-Capesize types with a draft of up to 15.5 m. The projected handling volume is 24.3 MMT a year, UkrAgroConsult reports.
The facility’s first stage is scheduled to be launched by 2023, the second stage by 2024, and the third one (a grain terminal) by the end of 2024.
