Russia. Hopper fleet to be renovated significantly by 2022

According to estimates of the Institute of Natural Monopolies Research (IPEM), the fleet of hoppers run by OJSC Russian Railways will be renovated significantly in 2020–2022, and the pace of hopper supplies will be faster than that of writes-off, reports UkrAgroConsult.
At the same time, the ratio between hopper supplies and writes-off will be different. So, IPEM forecasts that each written-off hopper railcar will be replaced with three new ones. Overall, 20% of the fleet of grain carriers will be renewed. As a reminder, it numbered 48,000 railcars as of early October.
