Russia exported more than 2.6 MMT of sunflower oil in 2018/19 season
Sunflower oil exports in MY 2018/19 hit a record high of 2641.8 KMT (up 14.5% year-on-year), reports UkrAgroConsult.
Egypt yielded its top position among the importers to Iran (down 41% and up 172% year-on-year, respectively).
In MY 2018/19, Russia started sunflower oil exports to the markets of Namibia, Bahrein and Ivory Coast for the first time ever.
Growth in exports was registered to Syria (+228%), India (+388%) and Turkey (+20%).
A slowdown in shipments occurred to Iraq (-99%), Saudi Arabia (-38%) and Sudan (-36%).
