Russia and Belarus remain the main suppliers of rapeseed meal to the EU countries
During the nineteen weeks of the current season, the EU countries imported 356.6 thousand tons of rapeseed meal, which is 61% more compared to the same period last season. This is reported by the European Commission.
Russia remains the main supplier of rapeseed meal to the EU. During the period under review, Russian exporters supplied 160.1 thousand tons (45% of the total volume). The second place is occupied by Belarus (97.7 thousand tons), the third – by Ukraine (74.4 thousand tons).
The main importers of meal are Lithuania. (99.6 thousand tons), Poland (71.9 thousand tons), France (62.3 thousand tons), Spain (46.2 thousand tons) and Latvia (30.7 thousand tons),
During the whole last season, EU countries imported 842.8 thousand tons of rapeseed meal, including 400.8 thousand tons (48%) from Russia.
