Russia again attacks US assets in Ukraine
Russian attacks on American-owned businesses and interests in Ukraine demonstrate Moscow’s complete disregard for efforts aimed at achieving peace.
This was stated by the press service of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine in response to a Russian drone strike on the “Oleyna” plant.
The Embassy noted that in Dnipro, Russian drones attacked an oilseed processing facility owned by the American agribusiness company Bunge.
“This is already the second attack on U.S. assets in less than six months: in August last year, a Russian missile struck the Flex Electronics plant,” the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine уточнила.
Meanwhile, Dnipro Mayor Borys Filatov wrote on Facebook that as a result of the Russian drone attack, 300 tonnes of edible oil spilled onto the roadway. Municipal services are using sand and special mixtures to absorb the liquid, but traffic along the Embankment will be impossible for the next two to three days.
“Russians bombed AMERICAN property, because the plant belongs to Bunge, a company based in St. Louis, Missouri,” he emphasized.
