The analytical center of Russian rail operator Rusagrotrans has lowered its forecast for Russia’s July wheat exports to 1.9 mln tons, down 9.5% from the previous estimate of 2.1 mln tons. According to the company, about 1.6 mln tons of wheat were shipped between July 1 and July 27, while total exports in July 2025 also amounted to around 1.9 mln tons.

At the same time, Rusagrotrans expects Russia’s wheat exports to recover to 3–3.5 mln tons in August. The downward revision comes amid worsening logistics and growing shipping risks in the Azov and Black Seas, which are already affecting the pace of Russian grain exports.

Earlier, analysts at SovEcon also lowered their forecast for Russia’s 2026/27 wheat exports, citing shipping restrictions in the Sea of Azov and deteriorating logistics conditions for exporters.
