Romanian farmers continue planting winter crops

Weather conditions. Throughout the week, air temperatures in Romania were at long-term normals. However, they began to rise on October 13, even reaching 28°C in the south.
Moisture supply. Last week, precipitation occurred mostly in the south (10-15 mm) and the northeast (up to 5 mm). Soil moisture deficit persists in all of Romania’s farming regions, except for the northeast and small areas in the center and near the Danube Delta.
Romanian farmers continue planting winter crops. The best period for planting winter wheat ends on October 20-30, reports UkrAgroConsult.
