Romanian farmers complain Ukrainian grain already received priority in railway transportation to Constanta port

Over the week (August 7-14) export price of Romanian milling wheat (12%) gained about USD 6/mt to USD 260/mt FOB Constanta, being the reliable source of supplies while other large Black Sea exporters face new military constraints during the seasonal peak of wheat shipments.

Meanwhile, this past week local Romanian traders and farmers have already started complaining that Ukrainian grains obtained priority in railway transportation to the port of Constanta. They say they cannot meet the delivery contract deadlines, because all railway transport from Siret and north-eastern areas was booked for Ukrainian origin. Trucks are not viable option as it will double the logistical expenses.
