Romanian barley prices reach seasonal maximum

Over the past week the export price of Romanian barley jumped about USD 15/mt at FOB Constanta basis, reaching a seasonal maximum.
Prices were supported by the traders` necessity to accumulate the volumes for the early concluded contracts. Meanwhile, lower export flows are still seen from the larger Black Sea exporters, Ukraine and russia.
Local CPT levels jumped to the highest levels since the market started to trade the crop 2026. Export movement from Constanta may reach a new record in the first two months of the current season.
