Rising soybean meal exports from Brazil could put further pressure on global prices
Brazil’s soybean meal exports in October 2026 could reach 2.49 mln tons, according to a forecast by the National Association of Grain Exporters (ANEC). This would be an increase of 763 thsd tons, or approximately 44%, compared with the same period last year. Higher shipments from one of the world’s largest soybean meal exporters could intensify competition in the international market and put additional downward pressure on prices.
The growth in Brazilian exports indicates an increase in available soybean meal supplies on the global market. Additional volumes could weigh on international prices, particularly in major importing markets. At the same time, future price movements will depend on demand from the feed industry and buying activity.
China is among the markets that could be affected by increased Brazilian shipments. Lower prices for imported soybean meal could put further pressure on domestic spot prices and limit the upside potential for futures.
