Rapeseed yields in Ukraine are nearly 20% higher than last year at the start of harvest
The average rapeseed yield in Ukraine at the beginning of the 2026 harvest stands at 1.94 t/ha, nearly 20% higher than at the same stage last year, when farmers averaged 1.62 t/ha, according to data from the Ministry of Economy.
As of July 13, 2026, rapeseed had been harvested from 77 thsd ha, producing 149.1 thsd tons of seed.
For comparison, as of July 10, 2025, farmers had already harvested 178.9 thsd ha and produced 290.1 thsd tons of rapeseed. This indicates that this year’s harvest pace is lagging behind last year’s, although yields remain significantly higher.

The largest rapeseed volume has so far been harvested in Odesa region, where 51.5 thsd tons were collected from 24.4 thsd ha. Mykolaiv region harvested 42 thsd tons from 22 thsd ha, while Dnipropetrovsk region produced 31.1 thsd tons from 15.6 thsd ha.
The highest yield among the regions that have already started harvesting was recorded in Zakarpattia region at 3.0 t/ha. Yields reached 2.77 t/ha in Ivano-Frankivsk region, 2.2 t/ha in Kyiv region, and 2.11 t/ha in Odesa region.
Rapeseed harvesting is also underway in Kirovohrad, Poltava, Kherson, and Kharkiv regions.
