Rapeseed prices on Euronext responded to China’s new tariffs against Canada by rising
Euronext rapeseed prices have risen slightly.
Over the week, rapeseed futures gained €2, reaching €475.75/t.
The market is focused on China’s decision to impose high tariffs on Canadian rapeseed imports, which will take effect Thursday. China is expected to resume purchasing rapeseed from Australia. As a result, Canadian rapeseed is expected to be redirected to Europe. Due to competition from China, EU countries’ purchases of Australian rapeseed are now in question.
