The planting of the new Brazilian soybean crop had another week of good evolution in the main producing states between November 27 and December 3.

With work already completed in the states of Paraná, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, and Goiás, very few areas remain to be sown in the other states of the Midwest and Southeast regions.

According to a survey carried out by SAFRAS & Mercado, until December 3, Brazilian producers sowed 94.5% of the total area expected for the country in the 2021/22 season. Weather maps point to another week of large accumulations of rain in the states of Mato Grosso, Goiás, Minas Gerais, and in the states of the North and Northeast regions between December 3 and 9. The other states of the Midwest and Southeast regions have little or no moisture, as well as in the states of the South Region.

In the period between December 10 and 16, rainfall should continue at high levels in the same states as in the previous period, but the other states in the Midwest and Southeast regions should receive some moisture. In the South Region again, little or no moisture is expected, which starts to bring concerns for crop development.
