Philippines purchases around 170 thsd tons of feed wheat
The Philippines has purchased around 170,000 metric tons of animal feed wheat, expected to be sourced from Australia, according to European traders cited by Reuters.
The purchase was split into three roughly equal consignments. The first was reportedly bought at an estimated $298.68 per ton cost and freight (c&f) for shipment between August 14 and September 4, with trading house GrainCorp believed to be the seller. The second consignment was purchased at about $302 per ton c&f for shipment from September 5 to September 25, with Australian Grain Export said to be the supplier.
The third consignment was bought at an estimated $303.50 per ton c&f for shipment between September 25 and October 15, with Bunge believed to be the seller. Traders noted that all figures remain preliminary and further revisions in volumes and prices are possible later.
