Pea harvest nears completion in Ukraine
As of July 27, Ukraine has nearly completed its 2026 pea harvest. Farmers have harvested 549,500 tons from 279,500 hectares, representing 95% of the projected harvest area.
The pace of the pea harvest is ahead of last year’s campaign. By the end of July 2025, 85% of the crop had been harvested, with total production reaching 492,000 tons.
However, the average yield this season is more than 16% lower than a year earlier, at 1.97 tons/ha compared with 2.36 tons/ha in 2025.
The largest harvests have been recorded in Odesa region (184,000 tons) and Mykolaiv region (106,000 tons).
The highest average yields have been reported in:
- Volyn region – 3.5 tons/ha;
- Cherkasy region – 3.09 tons/ha;
- Chernihiv region – 3.0 tons/ha;
- Khmelnytskyi region – 3.0 tons/ha.
