Oat harvest in Ukraine is forecasted at 5-year low
The production of oats in Ukraine in 2024/25 MY will amount to 350 thsd tonnes.
This forecast was made by the analysts of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).
According to the agency, this is the lowest figure for the last 5 seasons.
The world oats production will increase to 22.25 mln tonnes (+3 mln tonnes). The increase is forecasted primarily due to the growth of production in Canada and the European Union.
The world oat trade will also remain practically unchanged at 2.4 mln tons.
Ending stocks of oats will increase to 2.2 million tons, as production exceeds consumption.
