New crusher launched in Tajikistan
A new plant for sunflower oil production has been put into operation in Khatlon region (southwestern Tajikistan).
The plant is capable of processing 35 KMT of feedstock a year. It will annually produce 10 KMT of refined sunflower oil and 21 KMT of sunflower meal, reports UkrAgroConsult.
Initially, the crusher will operate on sunflower seed imported from Kazakhstan, and its finished products will be aimed at the domestic market. In the future, it is planned to purchase sunflower seed from local growers and enter the markets of Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.
