More than 2 million hectares of winter crops sown in Ukraine

Winter crops sowing continues, with 2,179 thou hectares already planted. Winter rapeseed is planted on 1 038 thou hectares, grain – on 1141 thou hectares, including: wheat – on 1024 thou hectares, barley – on 74 thou hectares, rye – on 42 thou hectares.
Over the previous week, farmers sowed 556 thsd ha of winter crops.
As of the end of September, Dnipropetrovs’k region sowed the most crops: 116.3 thou hectares of grain and 111.9 thou hectares of rapeseed.
Volyn region is the leader in rye sowing – 11 thou hectares.
Barley was planted on 7.4 thou hectares in Vinnytsia region.
