Moldova’s wheat exports are growing, but oilseeds will lead next season

In the Black Sea-Danube region, the structure of production and exports is changing under the influence of price and weather factors. Moldova illustrates a transition from grains to oilseeds due to lower grain profitability, adverse weather, and rising input costs. Increased exports of raw sunflower highlight stronger competition between exporters and processors for supply.
In the new season, further expansion of oilseed areas is expected, supporting production growth but increasing sensitivity to weather and market conditions.
