Moldova’s Giurgiulești Port to Boost Agricultural Exports with New Quay

The Moldovan Environmental Protection Agency has given the green light to complete the second phase of the construction of the berth at the General Cargo and Container Terminal of the Giurgiuleşti International Free Port.
The new 70-meter berth wall will increase the port’s throughput capacity, eliminating obstacles for vessels and increasing the port’s transshipment capacity.
The first phase of the berth project at the port’s General Cargo and Container Terminal is currently operating at full capacity.
As a reminder, the Giurgiuleşti port complex is the only port in Moldova with direct access to international waterways and the Black Sea.
