Milling wheat prices of 2026 new crop resist seasonal pressure in Romania
Romanian milling wheat 12% gained USD 1-2/mt mainly due to fluctuation of EURO, crude oil price fever and publication of USDA March report. In the middle of the last week wheat jumped at a new seasonal maximum of USD 243/mt FOB Constanta with downward correction towards the end of the week.
Market is watching the Middle East situation with uncertainties about its ending. Ahead of spring seeding, EU farmers, including Romania, face rising input costs, which may push them to increase grain and oilseed prices.
