Millet acreage in Ukraine decreased this year
This year, Ukrainian farmers sowed 69.7 thsd ha of millet, while last year the area under this crop amounted to 89.1 thsd ha.
This is reported by AgroTimes with reference to the data of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and the State Statistics Service.
Chernihiv (12 thou hectares), Poltava (8.3 thsd ha), Odesa (8 thsd ha), and Kharkiv (7.1 thsd ha) regions are the leaders in terms of millet planting areas.
In total, 7.2 million hectares of oilseeds and almost 5.6 mln ha of grains and pulses were planted in the government-controlled areas of Ukraine.
