Milk production in Ukraine fell by almost 4% in four months

In January-April 2020, milk production in Ukraine decreased by 3.6% to 2.7 mln t compared to the same period in 2019, the State Statistics Service data shows.
In particular, within four months agricultural enterprises reduced milk production by 1.2% YoY to 905.6 thou. t.
According to the data, milk production in households fell by 4.8% to 1.8 mln t vs. January-April 2019.
In the total structure of milk production, the industrial sector accounts for 33.3%.
Poltava region produced the highest volume of milk in Q1 2020 among specialized production enterprises — 97.8 thou. t.
