Malaysia raises palm oil export duty for April
The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) has issued a notice stating that the export duty on crude palm oil in April has been set at 9.5%, higher than the 9.0% in March.
In a statement, MPOB said the base price for crude palm oil in April 2026 was set at RM3,935.19 per tonne ($999.29), up from RM3,896.09 per tonne ($998.23 at $3.05). This means that the export tax on palm oil collected in April was $94.93 per tonne, up 5.67% from the previous month.
The Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) in April raised the export tax on crude palm oil from 9.0% to 9.5%, bringing the base price to RM3,935.19 per tonne and the export tax up 5.67% from the previous month.
